Alumni Chapter Board Scholarship
The CHHS Alumni Chapter Board invites applications for this inaugural scholarship. Applicants must be in their final year of study in any CHHS program, demonstrate financial need, and describe their interest in serving the College as an alumnus upon graduation.
CHHS Distinguished Scholar Awards
Up to $3,500 available for each of several CHHS undergraduate students who are residents from the DC metro area. Applicants should describe passion for their area of study and describe how the scholarship funding would help alleviate their financial need. First-generation college students encouraged to apply.
CVS Health Foundation Scholarships
Four awards of $1,000 each will be available for full-time, graduate students pursuing a degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP). Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be currently working to support underserved populations in a student or volunteer capacity, such as through the Mason and Partners Clinics. Active military, veterans, and bilingual students encouraged to apply.
Florence M. Schaffner International Experience Award
Two spring awards of $2,000 each available for undergraduate nursing students exploring key issues in the health of poor and marginalized populations in low- and middle-income countries through research or practice activities. Applicants must travel to a low- or middle-income country for this purpose within one year of receiving the award.
Heidi Rothenhaus School of Nursing Scholarship
One award will be available to a full-time undergraduate nursing student in his/her junior or senior year. Applicants must have job experience in a hands-on health care role.
Skolnik Family Global Health Fellowship
This spring award is available for a junior or senior undergraduate student in the Department of Global and Community Health. The fellowship provides a travel stipend to assist the student in exploring, through research or practice, key issues in the health of poor and marginalized populations in low- and middle-income countries. Recipient will qualify on the basis of academic merit and financial need, and preference will be given to a student who will be traveling out of the United States for the first time.
Wanda M. Stralka Endowed Nursing Scholarship
One $1,000 spring award will be provided for an undergraduate nursing student, selected on the basis of academic merit, financial need, and a demonstrated passion in the field of nursing. African-American students encouraged to apply.
