National Nutrition Month

Beyond the Table - March 2024

Students in the Nutrition Kitchen

During National Nutrition Month, learn how nutritionists and dietitians impact public health by helping us make informed food choices and develop healthy eating habits. In 2024, we focus on " beyond the table," focusing attention on the importance of making informed food choices and developing sound eating and physical activity habits.

Follow the College on LinkedInFacebookInstagram, and Twitter, follow the Department on Instagram, use the #MasonNutrition #NationalNutritionMonth to join the conversation.

Dinner for Firefighters

Our 2nd-year Dietetics students will work in groups to prepare a nutritious dinner for our Fairfax firefighters and provide education about healthy eating. They will work with the Fairfax firefighter dietitian, Megan Lautz, to learn about the job of a typical firefighter and their nutritional needs.
